Notice is hereby given that the City Commission of the City of Miami,
Florida, will consider the following ordinance on second and tinal reading
on June 10. 2010 commencing at 9:00 am.. in the City Commission
Chambers located at 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami. Florida:
ORDINANCE -
AN ORDINANCE OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AMENDING
CHAPTER 11.5, ARTICLE II OF THE CODE. OF THE CITY OF MIAMI.
FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, .ENTITLED "CIVILIAN COMPLAINT
INVESTIGATION AND REVIEW/THE CITY OF MIAMI CIVILIAN
INVESTIGATIVE PANEL," MORE PARTICULARLY BY AMENDING
SECTION 11.5.28. ENTITLED "MEMBERSHIP; NOMINATION OF
MEMBERS; TERMS -OF OFFICE AND VACANCIES: APPOINTMENT
OF THE CIP NOMINATING COMMITTEE:" TO AMEND THE MEMBER-
SHIP, APPOINTMENT PROCESS AND TERMS OF OFFICE;
CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
Said proposed ordinance maybe inspected by the public at the Office of
the City Clerk, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida, Monday
through Friday, excluding holidays, between -the hours of 8 a.m. and 5
p.m., or at http://www.miamigov.com/Agendasfpubrneet-asp, five
days before the date of the Commission -Meeting.
All interested persons may appear at the meeting and may be heard with
respect to.the proposed ordinance. Should any person desire to appeal
any decision of the City Commission with respect to any matter to be
considered at this meeting, that person shall ensure that a verbatim
record 0T the proceedings -is made including all testimony and evidence
upon which any appeal maybe based (RS. 286.0105).
1n accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, persons
needing special accommodations to participate in this proceeding may
