Purpose of Item:
A Resolution declaring 'No Objection' and supporting Miami -Dade County Resolution No. 1128-08,
urging the City of Miami to designate Northwest 15th Avenue from Northwest 62" Street to
Northwest 71st Street, Miami, Florida, as "Rev. Dr. Gilbert S. Smith Avenue."
Background Information:
Miami -Dade County has made a request to the City for consideration and approval of a street
codesignation that was adopted through County Resolution No. 1128-08, for an honorary designation
of a road located within the City of Miami. The proposed street codesignation is for Northwest 15th
Avenue from Northwest 62" Street to Northwest 79' Street as "Rev. Dr. Gilbert S. Smith Avenue."
The County is requesting for the City to codesignate the portion that is within City of Miami limits,
specifically Northwest 15th Avenue from Northwest 62nd Street to Northwest 71st Street.
