functioning nroperly should flooding occur. Maintenance of the pump stations
are critical to the City and cannot simply be stopped. Since the termination of
their contract in September, Condo Electric has continued to provide its services
to the City in good faith. Their performance and willingness to assist the City
during emergency and non -emergency situations has been commendable.
An increase to the recently expired agreement with Condo Electric is also necessary.
Since the execution of last year's agreement. the City assumed the responsibility of
maintaining the NW 14th Street Pump Station. This responsibility was shifted from the
Florida Department of Transportation to the City of Miami. Additionally, new
generators were installed at all four pump stations citywide, thus increasing the initial
cost of $91,160 to $111,360 plus $8,$40 to cover estimated expenses incurred by the
City. The total project cost will be $120,200.
4. Does this item correlate with the CIP plan or Strategic Plan? If so, how?
