NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Miami City Commission will hold a Public Hearing on December 9th, 2004 to consider the
award of an agreement, in the amount of $111,360 to Condo Electric Motor Repair Corp., a
Florida corporation, for the 2004-2005 contract period with the option to renew for two
additional one-year periods, for the provision of citywide storm water pump station maintenance,
to consider the City Manager's recommendation and finding that competitive negotiation
methods are not practicable or advantageous regarding these issues due to a valid emergency
situation, the addition of newly installed generators for the NW 14th Street Pump Station to be
covered by the agreement, and provisions to cover related contract expenses of approximately
$8,840 to be incurred by the City. Inquiries regarding this notice may be addressed to Francis

This action is being considered pursuant to Section 18-89(b) (waiving competitive sealed bid
methods by a written finding) of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended. The
recommendation and finding to be considered in this matter are set forth in the proposed
resolution and in this Code Section, which are deemed to be incorporated by reference herein and
are available as public records from the City of Miami. The Public Hearing will be held in
conjunction with the regularly scheduled City Commission meeting of December 9th, 2004, at
Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida. Please also take notice that the
Commission has stipulated that the December 9, 2004 Commission meeting may be continued to
December 10, 2004, if necessary.
All interested individuals are invited to attend this hearing and may comment on the proposed
issue. Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the City Commission with respect to
any matter considered at this meeting, that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of the
proceedings is made including all testimony and evidence upon which any appeal may be based.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, persons needing special
