HomeMy WebLinkAboutpublic advertisement"Z:` City of Miami Department of Community Development The Miami City Commission will hold a Public Hearing to discuss Issues relating to the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and other HUD Programs. Tuesday, February 26, 2004, 3:00 P.M. City of Miami Commission Chamber 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida Federal regulations governing CDBG and other HUD programs require that a participating Jurisdiction provide citizens with reasonable notice of and an opportunity to comment on any amendments to funding of HUD programs. In addition, the public is advised of the proposed amendment(s) to the funding of the City program(s) Indicated below: 1. Discussion and proposed ordinance accepting the Entitlement Grants under the CDBG, Horne Investment Partnerships (HOME); Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) for FY'2004-2005. 2. Discussion and proposed resolution adopting a planning calendar for the 30th Year of the CDBG program and other programs funded through the U.S. HUD, 3. *Discussion and proposed resolution rescinding the previously approved Citizen Participation Plan in Its entirety and substituting the new Citizen Participation Plan. 4. *Discussion and proposed resolution Waiving the Conflict of interest for The Latin Quarter Cultural Center public facility rehabilitation award. 5. Discussion and proposed resolution approving HOME Program Housing Development Policies and proposed allocations of anticipated FY' 2004-05 funds as follows: Little Havana Home Ownership $1,500,000 New Construction — Rental Projects 776,325 New Construction — Home Ownership Protects 2,328,975 Administration 511,700 Total: $5,117,000 6. *Discussion and proposed resolution to close-out 28th Year CDBG funds and reallocate as CLOSE-OUT FUNDS FROM: REALLOCATE FUNDS TO: Program/Activity Amount Program/Activity Amount Word of Life Community Habitat for Humanity of Development Greater Miami, Inc. $50,000 Corporation $138,890 District 5 Reserve Account $88,890 Total $138,890 Total $138,890 The adoption of this Ordinance/Resolution, by the City Commission, authorizes the City Manager to amend the appropriate City of Miami annual Action Plan. Interested Individuals are encouraged to attend this Public Hearing. The meeting site is accessible to the handicapped.
