A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
ACCEPTING GRANT FUNDS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $42,450,
CONSISTING OF A GRANT AWARD FROM THE FLORIDA INLAND NAVIGATION
DISTRICT ("FIND"), TO FUND THE BICENTENNIAL PARK MOORING BOLLARDS
PROJECT B-30605; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE
FIND PROJECT AGREEMENT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, TO
IMPLEMENT THE ACCEPTANCE OF SAID GRANT AWARD.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") submitted a grant application to the Florida Inland Navigation
District ("FIND") to fund the Bicentennial Park Mooring Bollards Project B-30605 ("Project"), pursuant
to Resolution No. 08-0161, adopted March 27, 2008; and
WHEREAS, the City was notified that the grant was approved and awarded in an amount not to
exceed $42,450; and
WHEREAS, the required match in the amount of $42,450, is available from the Homeland Defense
Bond, Series 1 funds in the Bicentennial Park Mooring Bollards Capital Improvements Project Account
B-30605;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Grant funds, in an amount not to exceed $42,450, consisting of a grant award from
FIND, to fund the Project, are accepted.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute the FIND Project Agreement, in
substantially the attached form, to implement the acceptance of said grant award.
Section 4. This grant will be appropriated by a separate Resolution.
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor. {2}

Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed
by the City Attorney, including, but not limited to, those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code
provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
