Grant Acceptance - Miamarina Seawall Replacement - Phase I Purpose of Item: A Resolution of the Miami City Commission, with attachment(s), accepting a grant award, from the Florida Inland Navigation District ("F.I.N.D.") Waterways Assistance Program, in an amount not to exceed $40,000, for the Miamarina Seawall Replacement Project - Phase I; authorizing the City of Miami's required matching funds, in the amount of $40,000, for a total project cost of $80,000, from Capital Improvements Project 40-B30604; authorizing the City Manager to accept said grant award pursuant to Resolution 08-0157 and to execute the necessary documents, in substantially the attached form, to implement acceptance of said grant. Background Information: In April 2008, the Department of Public Facilities, through the Office of Grants Administration, submitted a grant proposal to the Florida Inland Navigation District (F.I.N.D.). The grant was subsequently awarded in the amount of $40,000 with a required match of $40,000 which is authorized and appropriated by the Department of Capital Improvements Project 40-B30604 entitled "Miamarina Seawall Replacement - Phase I". Said grant will assist in funding the engineering, permitting, and professional services related to the replacement of approximately 900 feet of seawall adjacent to the public Baywalk at the City's Miamarina at Bayside.
