HomeMy WebLinkAboutPre LegislationCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 08-00563 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 07-0345, ADOPTED JUNE 14, 2007, IN ITS ENTIRETY, AND ESTABLISHING A NEW SPECIAL REVENUE FUND ENTITLED: "THE CHILDREN'S TRUST UNITING FOR PEACE GRANT," AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $331,922.61, FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION'S UNITING FOR PEACE SCHOOL YEAR RECREATION, CHILD MURDER AND YOUTH VIOLENCE PREVENTION PROGRAM AT VIRRICK PARK, CONSISTING OF A GRANT FROM THE CHILDREN'S TRUST; AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF CITY OF MIAMI IN -KIND SERVICES, IN THE AMOUNT OF $124,721.89; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS TO IMPLEMENT THE ACCEPTANCE OF AND TO COMPLY WITH SAID GRANT. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Resolution No. 07-0345, adopted June 14, 2007, is rescinded in its entirety and the following new Special Revenue Fund is established and resources are appropriated as described below: FUND TITLE: THE CHILDREN'S TRUST UNITING FOR PEACE GRANT RESOURCES: THE CHILDREN'S TRUST CITY OF MIAMI -IN-KIND SERVICES APPROPRIATION: $331,922.61 $124,721.89 $456,644.50 Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute the necessary documents to implement the acceptance of and to comply with said grant. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{2} APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS: JULIE O. BRU CITY ATTORNEY City of Miami Page 1 of 2 Printed On: 5/14/2008 File Number. 08-00563 Footnotes: {1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code provisions. {2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted.
