HomeMy WebLinkAboutLegislationCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.corn File Number: 08-01395 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION APPROVING THE SALARY OF THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE BAYFRONT PARK MANAGEMENT TRUST ("TRUST") IN THE ANNUAL AMOUNT OF $124,950, RETROACTIVE TO OCTOBER 1, 2008, AS APPROVED BY THE TRUST AT ITS OCTOBER 28, 2008 BOARD MEETING. WHEREAS, the Bayfront Park Management Trust ("Trust") was created by the Miami City Commission to direct, operate, manage and maintain all aspects of Bayfront Park and Bicentennial Parks; and WHEREAS, Section 38-105 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, further authorizes the Trust to fix the salary for the Executive Director, subject to City Commission approval; and WHEREAS, the Trust approved the Executive Director's annual salary at its October 28, 2008, board meeting; and and WHEREAS, the approved salary is $124,950 annually, and is retroactive to October 1, 2008; WHEREAS, the Executive Director has agreed to accept that salary; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The salary of the Executive Director of the Trust in the annual amount of $124,950, retroactive to October 1, 2008, as approved by the Trust at its October 28, 2008 board meeting, is approved. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{1} APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS: JULIE O.
