Purpose of Item: Resolution Authorizing the establishment of a new Special Revenue Project entitled "Child Day Care Food Program" and appropriating funds, in the amount of $61,743 consisting of a grant from the Florida Department of Health ( "DOH"), auothorizing the City Manager to execute the necessary documents, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, for the operations of the year-round food service program for preschool aged children in our city parks. Background Information: The Department of Parks and Recreation has applied for and obtained a grant from the Florida Department of Health , in the amount of $61,743, to help fund the preschool aged children's after school food program operating in our city parks. This resolution establishes a special revenue project. for the 2008-09 program year, appropriates the funds and authorizes the City Manager to execute the necessary documents to accept the grant.
