A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING A
CONTRIBUTION, IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,000, TO THE MIAMI-DADE COUNTY
ASSOCIATION OF CHIEFS OF POLICE, TO SPONSOR, AS STATED HEREIN, THE
DECEMBER, 2008 MIAMI-DADE COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF CHIEFS OF POLICE
GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING TO BE HELD DECEMBER 10, 2008, IN MIAMI,
FLORIDA; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF POLICE
GENERAL OPERATING BUDGET, ACCOUNT CODE NO.
00001.191501.882000.0000.00000.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA;
Section 1. A contribution, in the amount of $20,000, to the Miami -Dade County Association of
Chiefs of Police, as financial support to host the Miami -Dade Association of Chiefs of Police General
Membership Meeting, to be held on December 10, 2008, in Miami, Florida, and attended by three
hundred (300) members representing over sixty (60) local, Federal and State law enforcement
agencies, is authorized, with funds allocated, from the Department of Police General Operating
Budget, Account Code No. 00001.191501.882000.0000.00000.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1}
Footnotes:
{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
