Subject: Trophies and Plaques
Purpose of Item:

The nature of this item is to establish a citywide term contract for. Trophies and Plaques, from Awards
d/b/a Trophy World, on an as needed basis, for an initial contractual period of one (1) year with
option for renew for three (3) additional one-year periods. Allocating funds from the various sources
of funds of the user departments, subject to availability of funds and budgetary approval at time of
need.
Background Information:
The Purchasing Department has identified a need to establish a citywide contract for Trophies and
Plaques. On July 24, 2008, the Purchasing Department issued Invitation to Bid No. 90057. As
required by the Procurement Code, the IFB was advertised and issued on-line. On August 13, 2008,
at the bid opening, two (2) bids were received. Awards d/b/a Trophy World, submitted the lowest
responsive and responsible bid and is therefore recommended for award. Estimated annual contract
amount is $84,100.
