The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Board was created to exercise supervisory control over
the activities of the director and the staff of the Downtown Development Authority.
Twelve (of the fifteen) members of the DDA shall be appointed by the current board of directors
of the DDA and submitted to the City Commission for confirmation. One member may be
appointed by the Board of County Commissioners of Miami -Dade County and submitted to the
City Commission for confirmation. One member may be appointed by the Cabinet of the State and
submitted to the City Commission for confirmation. Five (5) appointments are currently needed at
this time.
• The Commission -at -Large is being requested to confirm the appointments of the
following members, appointed by the current board of directors of the DDA:
1. Oscar Rodriguez
2. Danet Linares
3. Dr. Rolando Montoya
4. Hank Klein
5. Alan Ojeda
For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said board. By copy
of this memorandum, we are requesting that the Agenda Office place this issue on the September
11, 2008 Commission agenda.
