Director Chief City Manager �( Page 1 of 1 Background Information: (continued) As a Pre -Disaster Grant Program project, the City of Miami proposes to improve the drainage area referred to as the N.E. 71st Street Storm Water System. The proposed project is located between N.E. 72" Street and N.E. 69th Street in Miami, Florida. The City of Miami will install a pipe collection system, five (5) drainage wells, pump station (s) and force main piping to evacuate water throughout outfall (s) to Biscayne Bay. The completed construction project will minimize recurring flooding and reduced repetitive flood loss to properties. The Agreement expires on September 8, 2008, and The State of Florida, Department of Community of Affairs, desires to reinstate and modify this Agreement by extending it to February 27, 2009. Further, authorizing the City Manager to extend and modify any other amendments or extensions on all matters except dealing with funding changes. According to grant stipulations, said funds will be utilized by the City of Miami in order to complete the Scope of Work, as set forth in Attachment "A".
