A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE PROCUREMENT OF FORENSIC CASEWORK FOR DNA
ANALYSIS, FROM THE BODE TECHNOLOGY GROUP, INC., THE PRIMARY
VENDOR, AND ORCHID CELLMARK, INC., THE SECONDARY VENDOR,
UTILIZING EXISTING MIAMI-DADE COUNTY REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL NO.
8514-3/13, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $195,367; AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE
ATTACHED FORMS, FOR AN INITIAL THREE (3) YEAR PERIOD, WITH THE
OPTION TO RENEW FOR THREE (3) ADDITIONAL ONE-YEAR PERIODS;
ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM PROJECT NO. 19-199500, AWARD NO. 1427 AND
ACCOUNT NO. 12000.191602.531000.0000.00000.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The procurement of Forensic Casework for DNA Analysis, from The Bode Technology
Group, Inc., the primary vendor, and Orchid Cellmark, Inc., the secondary vendor, utilizing Miami -Dade
County, Request for Proposal No. 8514-3/13, in an amount not to exceed $195,367, is authorized, with
funds allocated from Project No. 19-199500, Award No. 1427 and Account Code No.
12000.191602.531000.0000.00000.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1 } to execute Agreements, in substantially the attached
forms, for an initial three (3) year period, with the option to renew for three (3) additional one-year
periods.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{2}

Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.
{2} This Resolution shall become effective as specified herein unless vetoed by the Mayor within ten
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission or upon the effective date
stated herein, whichever is later.
