A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI COMMISSION, WITH
ATTACHMENT(S), AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
PERMIT AGREEMENT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, WITH
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY ("COUNTY"), FOR THE CITY OF MIAMI DEPARTMENT
OF POLICE'S USE AND OCCUPANCY OF THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1701
NORTHWEST 30 AVENUE, MIAMI, FLORIDA, FOR A TERM OF ONE YEAR,
WITH AN OPTION TO EXTEND FOR AN ADDITIONAL ONE (1) YEAR TERM,
COMMENCING UPON APPROVAL BY THE COUNTY MANAGER, WITH A
TOTAL RENTAL FEE OF ONE DOLLAR ($1,.00), FOR EACH YEAR, WITH
TERMS AND CONDITIONS AS MORE PARTICULARLY SET FORTH IN SAID
AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, Miami -Dade County ("County") owns certain property located at 1701
Northwest 30th Avenue, Miami, Florida (the "Property"), that was once occupied by the Department
of Human Services which now stands vacant; and
WHEREAS, the County's current need for this building extends only to store archived files of
the Department of Human Services; and
WHEREAS, the County is desirous in allowing the City of Miami ("City") to use its Property
and the City is in need of space for its Special Operations of the Department of Police; and
WHEREAS, the County and the City have negotiated a Permit Agreement (the
"Agreement"); and
WHEREAS, the Agreement provides for the City's use of the Property for a rental fee of One
Dollar ($1.00) per year; and
WHEREAS, the term of the Agreement is for one (1) year with the option to extend for an
additional one (1) year term with a thirty -day cancellation clause by either party;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized(1} to execute an Agreement, in substantially the
attached form, with the County for the City Department of Police's use and occupancy of the
Property, for a term of one year, with an option to extend for an additional one (1) year term,
commencing upon approval by the County Manager, for total rental fee of One Dollar ($1.00), for

each year, with terms and conditions as more particularly set forth in said Agreement.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor.{2}

Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subje4 to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution,it shall •
become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
