ADDENDUM NO. 5
IFB 73031 APRIL 17, 2008
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS OF EMERGENCY GENERATORS
TO: ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS:
The following changes, additions, clarifications, and deletions amend the Invitation to Bid
(IFB) documents of the above captioned IFB, and shall become an integral part of the
Contract Documents. Please note the contents herein and reflect same on the
documents you have on hand.
NOTE: The Voluntary Site Visits scheduled for April 17th and 18th, 2008, have been
cancelled.
Nevertheless, prior to submitting the bid, prospective bidder is encouraged to visit each
of the site(s) of the proposed work and to become familiar with any conditions, which
may in any manner, affect the work to be done or affect the equipment, materials and
labor required. The bidder is also required to examine carefully the specifications and
be thoroughly informed regarding any and all conditions and requirements that may in
any manner affect the work to be performed under this contract. No additional
allowances will be made because of lack of knowledge of these conditions. For a site

ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE IFB REMAIN THE SAME.

Section 2.7 BIDDERS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
(2) Bidders shall provide, with their bid, a list of licenses, certificates,
permits, etc., required by statute or regulation for services requested in
this bid.
Has been revised as follows:
(2) Bidders shall provide, with their bid, either a State of Florida Certified
Electrical Contractor's License or a Miami Dade County Registered
Electrical Contractor's License.

TO: ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS:
The following changes, additions, clarifications, and deletions amend the Invitation to Bid
(IFB) documents of the above captioned IFB, and shall become an integral part of the
Contract Documents. Please note the contents herein and reflect same on the
documents you have on hand.
Note: We have extended the bid closing date to Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 2:00
p.m., to allow for voluntary site inspections scheduled for April 16, 17, and 18th,
2008, as per attachment, and have extended the deadline for Request for
Clarification to April 23, 2008 at 5 p.m.
Q1. Cites and counties throughout South Florida will no longer allow generator
maintenance agreements to be performed by companies that do not have an
Electrical Contractors license, is the City of Miami following that standard in this bid?
Al. Yes, the City of Miami will require that the selected bidder have an Electrical
Contractors license.
Q2. Is a copy of the previous generator maintenance agreement relating to the sites
in this bid available to the bidders?
A2. The City of Miami does not have a previous maintenance agreement relating to
the sites listed, generators were only serviced as needed.
Q3. Is it possible to have a site visit on all generators on this bid?
A3. Yes, voluntary site inspections will be scheduled for April 16, 17, and 18, 2008.

Q4. Please provide the tabulation for the last time this bid was out and who was
awarded that bid?
A4. The City of Miami has not previously issued a bid for maintenance and repair
services of emergency generators citywide.
Q5. Are you requesting two (2) visits or four (4) visits for the generators for the
four generators for the Police Department?
A5. The generators located at the Police Department facilities will require four (4)
visits, Line Items 19, 20, 21, and 22, have been revised.
Q6. We went to the address of 444 S.W. 2 Avenue, and found that the Delco
generator listed in Line Item 18 and 23 are not located at this address. How do we
bid on these line items?
A6. The generators listed on Line Item Numbers 18 and 23 have been removed
from the bid.
ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE IFB REMAIN THE SAME.
