Re: Recommendation for Approval of June 26, 2008 City
Commission Items
This letter serves as the Miami River Commission's (MRC) `official
statement" to the City Commission, requested in City Resolution 00-
320, regarding June 26, 2008 City Commission agenda items which
impacts the Miami River corridor.
On June 2, 2008, the MRC, by a vote of 10-0, adopted a resolution
supporting the City's proposed land use and zoning amendment at
2300 NW 14 ST from Multifamily Medium -Density Residential (R-3)
to Parks and Recreation (PR), in order to expand Fern Isle Park, which
was found to be consistent with the Miami River Corridor Urban Infill
Plan.
Sincerely,
l :ice lriermann, Esq.
Chair,
Miami River Commission
