A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE
EXPENDITURE OF ATTORNEY'S FEES AND COSTS BY THE CITY ATTORNEY
FOR THE ENGAGEMENT OF JAMES C. CROSLAND, ESQUIRE, AND THE FIRM
OF BRYANT MILLER OLIVE, IN AN AMOUNT APPROVED BY THE CITY
ATTORNEY, FOR THE PURPOSE OF REPRESENTING THE CITY OF MIAMI IN
COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AND RELATED LABOR MATTERS; ALLOCATING
FUNDS FROM ACCOUNT NO. 00001.980000.531010.0000.00000, AND
REQUIRING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO REPORT TO THE CITY COMMISSION ON A
QUARTERLY BASIS THE AMOUNT OF FEES AND COSTS INCURRED TO DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The expenditure of the attorney's fees and costs by the City Attorney for the
engagement of James C. Crosland, Esquire, and the firm of Bryant Miller Olive, in an amount
approved by the City Attorney, is authorized, for the purpose of representing the City of Miami in
collective bargaining and related labor matters, with funds allocated from Account No.
00001.980000.531010.0000.00000, and requiring the City Attorney to report to the City
Commission on a quarterly basis the amount of fees and costs incurred to date.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature
of the Mayor.{1}
Footnotes:
1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
