WHEREAS, the Coconut Grove Woman's Club has been a cornerstone of the Coconut Grove Community for 116 years; and WHEREAS, the Coconut Grove Woman's Club serves the Coconut Grove area providing programs related to promoting the family, preserving history, and supporting education and the arts in our community; and WHEREAS, he Coconut Grove Woman's Club building is in need of significant infrastructure improvements including those related to ADA compliance; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Miami to provide a grant to the Club in amount of $50,000 to facilitate the improvements so that the Woman's Club can continue to carry out its mission in the Coconut Grove community; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COM . SSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FL ORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. A grant award to the Coconut Grove Woman's Club for infrastructure improvements to their facility, is authorized, with funds allocated from the Miscellaneous Revenue Capital Improvement Project Fund Account. Section 3. The City Manager is authorized{1} to a execute an Agreement and all documents necessary for said purpose, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney. Section 4. The City Manager is directed to instruct the Budget Director to identify the re -allocation of funds in the amount of $50,000, from the District 2 Quality of Life Project to fund a Department of Parks related capital project in District 2. Section 5.
