Hank Klein is currently the Executive Director of Business
Development at Cushman & Wakefield of Florida. He is
responsible for marketing the company's multiple product
lines and services, appraisal and property management.
Mr. Klein was the Vice Chairman of Flagler Realty
Services, the brokerage subsidiary of Florida East Coast
Industries (FECI), a publicly traded company involved in
commercial real estate in Florida. FECI purchased the
Codina Group in 2006. Klein had been with Codina Group
since 1988. While he was with the Codina group, he was
responsible for marketing the company's numerous product
lines and services including tenant and landlord
representation, property management, fee development
and build -to -suit construction.
Klein was President and CEO of Codina Bush Klein, the brokerage subsidiary of Codina
Group, which later became Codina Realty Services ONCOR International. Before this,
he was a senior sales consultant for Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Services
in Miami and a sales associate for Cushman & Wakefield of Florida.
When he became the head of Codina Bush Klein (CBK) in 1988, the firm had three
brokers in the office. In twelve years, Klein built the firm to 35 brokers with two offices in
Miami, one in Fort Lauderdale and one in Boca Raton. This was accomplished by
acquiring existing firms as well as hiring and training new brokers. CBK was recognized
several years in a row by the South Florida Business Journal as the leading commercial
brokerage firm in South Florida. Codina Bush Klein in 1988 was involved in transactions
that had a total value of Tess than two million dollars. By the year 2000, Codina Realty
was involved in transactions that had a gross value of over $85 million dollars.
In 2000, after twelve years as President/CEO of Codina Realty Services, Klein moved to
the full time role of new business development. In that capacity he worked closely with
younger brokers in both training and mentoring roles.
Active in civic and community affairs, Klein was Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees
of Miami -Dade College for eight years, he is Chairman of the Greater Miami Chamber of
Commerce. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of Goodwill Industries, and
the Board of Governors' of the Dade Community Foundation. He also serves on the
Board of Directors of Fiduciary Trust International of the South, a Franklin Templeton
Company. Recently Mr. Klein joined TransAtlantic Bank as a member of the Board of
Directors.
He is a fifty year Miami resident and holds a bachelor's degree in education from the
University of Miami.
