During the year 2007, tenants of said Property were displaced and relocated to temporary housing due to the rehabilitation of the Property. Under federal regulations implementing the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisitions Act, a residential tenant who has been temporarily relocated for more than one year must be offered permanent relocation assistance which may not be reduced by the amount of any temporary relocation assistance previously provided. It has been over one year since said tenants were displaced. The Administration recommends the transfer of City of Miami Department of Community Development Housing Activities funds, in the amount of $500,000, as specified in Exhibit "A", attached and incorporated to the City of Miami Department of Community Development Permanent Relocation Assistance Account to be used for relocation assistance for tenants displaced from the Property.
