HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-08-0329City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-08-0329 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 08-00518 Final Action Date: 6/12/2008 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), ESTABLISHING A NEW SPECIAL REVENUE PROJECT ENTITLED:"2008 MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR THE MIAMI HOMELESS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM'S DISCHARGE PLANNING GRANT," CONSISTING OF A GRANT AWARD FROM THE MIAMI-DADE COUNTY HOMELESS TRUST, IN THE AMOUNT OF $113,333, FORA FOUR MONTH PERIOD, TO PROVIDE EXTENDED OUTREACH, AND HOUSING SERVICES TO HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS REFERRED THROUGH THE MIAMI-DADE COUNTY JUDICIAL AND HEALTH SYSTEM; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT SERVICES CONTRACT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, IN ORDER TO IMPLEMENT ACCEPTANCE OF SAID GRANT. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The following Special Revenue Fund is established and resources are appropriated as described below: FUND TITLE: 2008 Memorandum of Understanding for the Miami Homeless Assistance Program's Discharge Planning Grant RESOURCES: Miami -Dade County Homeless Trust $113,333 APPROPRIATIONS: City of Miami Homeless Assistance Program for outreach, Housing services to homeless individuals $113,333 Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute the Memorandum of Agreement Service Contract, in substantially the attached form, to implement acceptance of said grant award. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{2} Footnotes: City of Miami Page 1 of 2 File Id: 08-00518 (Version: 21 Printed On: 5/5/2017 File Number: 08-00518 Enactment Number: R-08-0329 {1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code provisions. {2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
