HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-08-0328City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-08-0328 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 08-00635 Final Action Date: 6/12/2008 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $3,500, TO LA PRENSA DOMINICANA DE LA FLORIDA CORPORATION, FOR THE "SECOND DOMINICAN PARADE AND CARNIVAL" EVENT TO BE HELD ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 17, 2008; ALLOCATING SAID FUNDS FROM THE DISTRICT 1 SPECIAL EVENTS/FESTIVAL ACCOUNT NO. 001000.921054.6.289. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The allocation of funds, in the amount not to exceed $3,500, to La Prensa Dominicana de la Florida Corporation, for the "Second Dominican Parade and Carnival" event to be held on Sunday, August 17, 2008, is authorized, with funds allocated from the District 1 Special Events/Festival Account No. 001000.921054.6.289. Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{1} Footnotes: {1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
