Purpose of Item;
A resolution of the Miami City Commission accepting the bid of Hoist Liftruck Mfg., Inc. to purchase
One New Marina Liftruck for Public Facilities / Marine Stadium Marina, as a single purchase, under
IFB 75115, at an amount not to exceed $218,500. Allocating funds from the Public Facilities
Department, Account Code No. 40-B30595 05 1350, 40-B30595 05 1437, and
34000.221001.664000.0000.00000.
Background Information:
The City has a need to Purchase One New Marina Liftruck for Public Facilities / Marine Stadium
Marina. On March 17, 2008, the Purchasing Department issued an Invitation for Bid (IFB No.
75115). As required by the Procurement Code, the IFB was advertised and issued on-line. On April
2, 2008, at the bid opening, two (2) bidders submitted bids, and the bids have been tabulated. The
Purchasing Department is recommending award to Hoist Liftruck Mfg., Inc. the lowest responsive,
responsible bidder per bid specifications. This equipment will replace existing equipment and it is
vital to maintain business operations of dry storage facility.
