Fiscal Impact Study of Ordinance
Given that the City of Miami spent less than $25,000 in the prosecution of aggressive panhandlers for the last
year this information is available, given that the area in which this new ordinance is to be enacted is fairly
small and restricted in its zoning use and given that the incidence of panhandling has been observed to
diminish whenever said activity is accompanied by the greater probability of arrest for engaging in it, it is
estimated the fiscal impact of this ordinance will be so small as to be insignificant and not measurable.
