A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION WITH
ATTACHMENT(S) APPROVING AN EXTENSION OF TIME FOR A SPECIAL
EXCEPTION, REQUIRING CITY COMMISSION APPROVAL, GRANTED BY
THE CITY COMMISSION ON MAY 24, 2007, RESOLUTION NO. R-07-0289,
AS LISTED IN ORDINANCE NO. 11000, AS AMENDED, THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, ARTICLE 22, SECTION
2215, TO ALLOW AN EXTENSION OF TIME FOR THE ORIGINAL
APPLICATION (06-00799xc) AS MODIFIED BY RESOLUTION NO. R-07-
0289, WHICH INCREASED THE SQUARE FOOTAGE AS DESCRIBED
THEREIN, WITH A TIME LIMITATION OF TWELVE (12) MONTHS IN WHICH
A BUILDING PERMIT MUST BE OBTAINED SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS.
Purpose: This will approve an extension of time to the original Camillus House
application.
Findings:
Planning Department: Recommended approval of the original application.

Notes(s): On June 8, 2006, the City Commission adopted with modifications a development
agreement to implement a Homeless Plan (06-00799zt). On July 27, 2006, the City
Commission adopted with modifications the rescue mission for Camillus House (06-
00799xc). On May 24, 2007, the City Commission adopted with modifications a
change to the original application for a rescue mission (06-00799xc1).
Zoning Board: Recommended approval with conditions to City Commission on May 12, 2008 by
a vote of 5-1.
