Subject: Authorizing the Re -naming of Little Haiti Park Community Center to the Arthur E. Teele, Jr.
Community Center.
Purpose of Item:
A resolution authorizing the re -naming of the future Little Haiti Park Community Center to the Arthur
E. Teele, Jr. Community Center in honor of the late Commissioner for his dedication and service
towards the development of the new Little Haiti Park; further directing the City Manager to take all
administrative action to efectuate this change.
Background Information:
The Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the renaming of the future Little Haiti Park
Community Center building as the Arthur E. Teele, Jr. Community Center as per the directive of the
commission on April 24th 2008.
