DESIGN SERVICES FOR PU:L_'C WORKS CATEGORY '.8'
EESIGNATED PROJECTS FOR 2002 THROUGH 2004
ARE, IN RANK ORDER: (1) DUANY ?LATER-ZYFERK
AND COMRA JY, (2) DO ER K..HOL & PARTNERS,
(3) URBAN DESIGN ASSOCIATES, AND
(4) HELLMUTH, OBATA & KASSABAUM, INC. NEW
UR.EA.N STUDIO; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY
ATTOPNEY, AND IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
5600, 000 FOR EACH FIRM; ALLOCATING FUNS FOR
SAID SERVICES FROM INDIVIDUAL PROJECT
ACCOUNTS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
FLORIDA;
Section 1. The recommendation of the City Manager to
approve the findings of the selection committee, pursuant to
Request for Proposals, that the most qualified firms to provide
professional town planning and urban design services for Public
Works Category designated projects for 2002 through 2004,
are, =n rank order; (1) Duany Plater-Zyberk and Company, (2)
Dover Kho1 & Partners, (3) Urban Design Associates, and (4)
Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum, Inca New Urban Studio, is accepted.

The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with
all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney,
including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.
If the Mayor does net sign this Resolution, it shall become
effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was
passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall
become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the
City Commission.
