local and tribal jurisdictions in implementing and/or enhancing sex offender registration and notification programs which support compliance with Title 1 of the
AWA, known as the Scx Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA). SORNA was enacted to protect the public from convicted sex offenders and
offenders against children by establishing a comprehensive national system for the registration of those offenders.

track ing.
OJP FORM 4000i2 (RE\'. 4-88)
The address verification component will consist of two teams conducting quarterly address verification of all sex offenders in Miami. The
absconder apprehension project will permit MPD to conduct quarterly sweeps in conjunction with the Miami -Dade County Police Department to
search for, and apprehend, sex offenders within the city and county. Thc mapping and tracking component will produce an investigative tool for
use in sex crimes investigations.
