Charles Wynn vs. City of Miami
(File No. 08-00495)
The attached proposed Resolution seeks authorization for settlement of all claims for
attorney's fees and costs due Barry R. Lerner, Esq. for his representation of former employee
Charles Wynn against the City of Miami in the amount of $43,522.87.
These workers' compensation claims were brought by Charles Wynn, a retired police
officer, for injuries Mr. Wynn alleges he sustained in the course and scope of his employment
with the City of Miami. Mr. Lerner has been successful in obtaining benefits on behalf of Mr.
Wynn for which he is entitled to be paid attorney's fees and costs by the City of Miami.
The Office of the City Attorney has investigated and evaluated these claims and dates of
accident and has approved the recommendation of the payment of attorney's fees and costs.
Funds in the amount of $43,522.87 are available from the Self -Insurance and Insurance Trust
Fund, Index Code No. 05002.301001.524000.0000.00000.
