A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, BY A FOUR -FIFTHS
(4/5THS) AFFIRMATIVE VOTE, PURSUANT TO SECTION 18-92 OF THE CODE
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, AFTER AN ADVERTISED
PUBLIC HEARING, RATIFYING, APPROVING AND CONFIRMING THE CITY
MANAGER'S FINDING OF A SOLE SOURCE; WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS
FOR COMPETITIVE SEALED BIDDING PROCEDURES AND APPROVING THE
PROVISION OF SERVICES AND REPLACEMENT PARTS/EQUIPMENT FOR THE
AUTOMATED COMPUTERIZED FUEL FACILITY SYSTEM (FUELOMAT SYSTEM),
FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION AND
DEPARTMENT OF FIRE -RESCUE, FROM AHA ELECTRONIC AND FUEL
SYSTEMS, INC., FOR A ONE (1) YEAR PERIOD, WITH THE OPTION TO
EXTEND FOR TWO (2) ADDITIONAL ONE-YEAR PERIODS; ALLOCATING
FUNDS FROM THE VARIOUS SOURCES OF FUNDS FROM THE USER
DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES, SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS
AND BUDGETARY APPROVAL AT THE TIME OF NEED.
WHEREAS, the provision of services and replacement parts/equipment ("Services") for the
Automated Computerized Fuel Facility System ("FuelOmat System") is needed for the City of Miami's
("City's") vehicles to be outfitted with the fuel collars and electronic components for the City's
automated computerized fuel facility (FuelOmat) from AHA Electronic and Fuel Systems, Inc. ("AHA");
and
WHEREAS, the Chief Procurement Officer has adopted a finding that AHA is the sole source
provider of the Services for the FuelOmat System; and
WHEREAS, the findings of the Chief Procurement Officer have been approved and adopted as the
findings of the City Manager; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Chief Procurement Officer recommend that the
requirements for competitive formal sealed bids be waived and the provision of the Services for the
FuelOmat System, from AHA, as the sole source, be approved;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. By a four -fifths (4/5ths) affirmative vote, pursuant to Section 18-92 of the Code of the
City of Miami, Florida, as amended, after an advertised public hearing, the City Manager's finding of a
sole source, waiving the requirements for competitive sealed bidding procedures are ratified, approved
and confirmed, and the provision of Services for the FuelOmat System, from AHA, for the Department

of General Services Administration and Department of Fire -Rescue, is approved, for a one (1) period,
with the option to extend for two (2) additional one-year periods, with funds allocated from the various
sources of funds from the user departments and agencies, subject to the availability of funds and
budgetary approval at the time of need.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1}

{1 }If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
