City A1anagcr ADDENDUM NO. 2 IFB NO. 62031 December 5, 2007 PUMPOUT VESSEL TO: ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS: The following changes, additions, clarifications, and deletions amend the Bid Documents of the above captioned IFB, and shall become an integral part of the Contract Documents. Please note the contents herein and reflect same on the documents you have on hand. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 1. QUESTION: The specifications are geared to a flat bottom barge with a 150 HP engine on it, and does not ask for any proof that the design is what it says it is; that the boats' tank has been tested to be 1000 gallons and has the certification that lets you know what you are getting what you are asking for. ANSWER: The specifications lend themselves to flat bottom (skiff), semi-v, or v- hull design; the City would require that the vessel be manufactured by a certified boat builder with proven experience in the design and construction of pumpout vessels. The city reserves the right to approve the vessel design with respect to operational use, safety, and meeting or exceeding bid specifications. The city is seeking a fully functional vessel, and is not seeking a motorized barge to provide this service. 2. QUESTION: Does the boat need to get up on plane with a full tank, or a half full tank? ANSWER: A half tank would be sufficient. ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE IFB REMAIN THE SAME.
