A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH WEIDENER SURVEYING AND MAPPING, P.A. TO MILLER
LEGG AND ASSOCIATES, INC., FOR THE PROVISION OF MISCELLANEOUS
SURVEYING AND MAPPING SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF MIAMI.
WHEREAS, Weidener Surveying and Mapping, P.A. ("Weidener") and the City of Miami ("City")
entered into a Professional Services Agreement for Miscellaneous Surveying and Mapping Services
("Agreement") on February 8, 2005, for Weidener to provide miscellaneous surveying and mapping
services ("Services"); and
WHEREAS, the Agreement contains provisions stating that the Agreement shall not be
transferred, pledged, sold, delegated or assigned in whole or in part without the City's written consent;
and
WHEREAS, on November 5, 2007, Weidener was purchased by Miller Legg and Associates, Inc.
("Miller Legg"); and
WHEREAS, the City wishes for Miller Legg to continue to provide the Services formerly provided
by Weidener; and
WHEREAS, in order for Miller Legg to continue to provide Services to the City, it is necessary to
transfer the Agreement with Weidener to Miller Legg;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The transfer of the Agreement with Weidener to Miller Legg, for the provision of
Services for the City, is authorized.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1}

{1 } If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
