A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING AN
EXTENSION OF THE NEGOTIATION TIME FRAME, FROM THE NINETY (90) DAY
TIME FRAME SET FORTH IN RESOLUTION NO. 08-0026, ADOPTED JANUARY
10, 2008, TO AN ADDITIONAL ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY (120) DAY TIME
FRAME, FOR THE BAYFRONT PARK MANAGEMENT TRUST TO NEGOTIATE
AN AGREEMENT WITH LIVE NATION WORLDWIDE, INC., FOR THE PURPOSE
OF MANAGING AND OPERATING THE BAYFRONT PARK AMPHITHEATER.
WHEREAS, the Bayfront Park Management Trust ("Trust") was created by the Miami City
Commission to direct, operate, manage and maintain all aspects of Bayfront and Bicentennial Parks to
ensure maximum community participation; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 08-0026, adopted January 10, 2008, the City Commission
authorized the Trust to negotiate an agreement with Live Nation Worldwide, Inc., for the purpose of
managing and operating the Bayfront Park Amphitheater; and
WHEREAS, in discussing said Resolution, the City Commission limited the negotiation time frame
to a period of not more than ninety (90) days; and
WHEREAS, negotiations between the Trust and Live Nation Worldwide, Inc. are progressing, but a
final agreement has not yet been reached;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. An extension of the negotiation time frame, from the ninety (90) day time frame set forth
in Resolution No. 08-0026, adopted January 10, 2008, to an additional one hundred and twenty (120)
day time frame, for the Trust to negotiate an agreement with Live Nation Worldwide, Inc., for the
purpose of managing and operating the Bayfront Park Amphitheater, is authorized.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1}

Footnotes:
{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall
become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
