Re: The Miami Green Lab
Dear Mr. Hernandez:
For the Board of Governors and staff of Dade Community Foundation, we agree
to partner with the City of Miami on its Sustainable Initiatives. Toward that end, we will
accept the offered $750,000 grant from Home Depot Foundation for the Miami Green
Lab — a planned environmental resource center — and re -grant it to the City of Miami's
Office of Sustainable Initiatives (MSI).
Dade Community Foundation will take a $1,000 processing fee for this service;
the City's net proceeds will therefore be $749,000. The grant is to be used for the design
and construction and permitting associated with the renovation of a 5,000 square foot
building which the City currently uses for storage.
We are enthused about the Miami Green Lab project's potential impact in our
community, and delighted that we can play a role in helping to advance it.
In the event you have any questions or require any clarification, please do not
hesitate to contact our Director of Development, David da Silva Cornell, at
305.371.2711.
Sincerely,
R th Shack
