Background Information: The Purchasing Department has identified a need to establish a contract for Tape Cartridges. Magnetic tape cartridges are used to archive and store backups of software and data. On January 7, 2008, the Purchasing Department issued Invitation to Bid No. 70048. As required by the Procurement Code, the IFB was advertised and issued on-line. Bids were due and seven (7) bids were received on- line, one (1) bid was deemed non -responsive. Strategic Technologies submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid and is therefore recommended for award. Estimated annual amount of ,$35,000.
