Background Information: Since the Arts & Entertainment Council was established in 2002, the Chairman of the Commission was given 2 appointments to the board. This proved unweildly with the Commission Chair changing every year; it put the outgoing Chairman in the position of having to re -appoint only 1 of his 2 appointments. Quorum is currently based on 50% + 1 being attendance and includes vacancies, which for the last year has affected the number of meetings in which the Arts and Entertainment Council had a quorum. Attached you will find changes to the ordinance, which has already been discussed with the Mayor's Office, the Chairman of the Commission staff and City Manager Staff.
