HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-08-0136City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-08-0136 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 08-00297 Final Action Date: 3/13/2008 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF FUNDS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,000, TO THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY, TO CO-SPONSOR THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY'S RELAY FOR LIFE EVENT TO BE HELD AT SHENANDOAH PARK, MAY 17, 2008 THROUGH MAY 18, 2008; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE DISTRICT 4 SPECIAL EVENTS BUDGET, ACCOUNT NO. 001000.921054.6.289. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The allocation of funds, in an amount not to exceed $1,000, to the American Cancer Society, to co-sponsor the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event to be held at Shenandoah Park, May 17, 2008 through May 18, 2008, is authorized, with funds allocated from the District 4 Special Events Budget, Account No. 001000.921054.6.289. Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{1} Footnotes: {1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
