Directo City Manager Page 1 of 1 '!skv►L___ . zl�gloa Background Information Agenda Summary Form Museum Park Master Plan Professional Services Agreement Proposed Third Amendment for Additional Services Commission meeting of 3/13/08 Purpose of Item A Resolution of the Miami City Commission, with attachment (s), authorizing an increase in the amount of the negotiated Agreement with Cooper Robertson and Partners LLP, pursuant to Resolutions R05-0113 adopted February 24, 2005, R-06-0082 adopted February 9, 2006 (First Amendment), R-08-0033 adopted January 10, 2008 (Second Amendment) for additional services required for the master planning of the Museum Park project, increasing the amended agreement amount by Eighty Two Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty Eight Dollars and Sixty Four Cents ($82,728.64) (Third Amendment), from account No. 00001.351000.53100 to an authorized amount not to exceed $1,582,683.64, authorizing the City Manager to execute the Third Amendment to the Agreement, in substantially the attached form for said purpose. Background Information The City of Miami entered an "agreement" with Cooper Robertson and Partners to develop a master plan for Museum Park pursuant to resolution 05-0113 on February 24, 2005, amended by resolution 06-0082 adopted on February 9, 2006 (First Amendment) for an amount not to exceed $1,399,955, amended by Resolution 08-0033 adopted on January 10, 2008 (Second Amendment) for an amount not to exceed $100,000.00. At this time it is necessary to amend the Agreement for additional services prepared to complete the project which requires an increase to the previously authorized amount by $82,728.64 from account 00001.351000.53100, for a new authorized amount not to exceed $1,582,683.64. (See attached for back-up of services provided.) Please note that Third Amendment extends expiration of the PSA to September 12, 2008 in order to provide sufficient time for adoption and processing of the Amended PSA. 1 Background Information Museum Park Third Amendment CC Meeting of 3/13/08 AMENDED EXHIBIT "A-3" - SCOPE OF SERVICES ADDITIONAL SERVICES BEYOND THOSE IDENTIFIED IN EXHIBIT "A" OF THE ORIGINAL AGREEMENT AND EXHIBIT "A-1" OF THE FIRST AMENDMENT AND EXHIBIT "A-2" OF THE SECOND AMENDMENT • On -going coordination of meetings with City, County and Museum entities leading to construction documents for the first phase of park construction. • Continue Project Management services • Study relationship between the proposed museums, Performing Arts Center and the surrounding urban context. • Prepare montage views from the Bay which include studying ways to minimize the impact of the Art Museum on views of the Performing Arts Center from the bay. • Amend Museum Area Guidelines as required • Update December 2005 Illustrative Plan to correspond to the developed design • Update the study model to correspond to the developed design • Prepare PowerPoint presentations • Prepare boards and exhibits for public information sessions 2
