(Phase II). Purpose of Item: The administration recommends that the Miami City Commission adopt the attached Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a Grant of Easement on City -owned property located at 1550 NW 37 Avenue, Miami, Florida, to Miami -Dade County Water and Sewer Department, of an approximately twelve (12) foot wide strip of land at Grapeland Heights Park, as more particularly described in Exhibit "A", for a perpetual non-exclusive easement on the property, for the construction, operation and maintenance of underground water facilities, with the right to reconstruct, improve, change and remove all or any of the facilities within the easement. Directo City Manager If using or receiving capital funds Grants N/A Purchasiiu /)N/A Chief Paae 1 of 2 SUPPLEMENTAL SHEET Subject: Resolution Granting a Water Easement to Miami -Dade County Water and Sewer Department on Grapeland Heights Park. (Phase II). Background Information: The City of Miami has established a capital improvement project to design and construct a recreational complex at Grapeland Heights Park. On September 12, 2006, the City Commission approved the Agreement for Water and Sanitary Sewage Facilities, Resolution No. 06-0522. Miami - Dade County Water and Sewer Department ("WASD") has requested the grant of an approximately twelve (12) foot wide water easement between NW 14 Terrace and NW 15 Street, as part of Phase II of the Project on City -owned property for the construction, operation and maintenance of water facilities in connection with the development on Grapeland Heights Park. This easement will be used for the construction, operation, and maintenance of water facilities with the right to reconstruct, improve, and change and remove all or any of the facilities within the easement. This easement shall further contain a reverter provision that if the easement is abandoned or discontinued, the easement shall cease and revert back to the City. Paee 2 of 2
