Background Information: The Sony Ericsson Tennis Tournament (the "Tournament") is scheduled for March 26 through April 6, 2008. Miami -Dade County has requested to use Marine Stadium's parking lot and a portion of Virginia Key along Arthur Lamb Junior Road east to the Miami -Dade Water and Sewer Plant to provide temporary parking for event staff and patrons. The City has determined these areas are not needed by other City Departments during this period of time. In the past, the City has utilized stables at Tropical Park in Miami -Dade County in exchange for the County's use of City owned parking at Marine Stadium and portions of Virginia Key for this tennis tournament. This year, in consideration for this use, the County shall provide inkind services which shall include, but is not necessarily Iimited to, pre and post -event cleanup services of various portions on Virginia Key. The letter of agreement granting the County permission to use City parking will require the County to indemnify and hold harmless the City to the extent of the limitation included within Florida Statutes.
