Subject: Invitation For Bid (IFB) No. 70032- Bayfront Park Management Trust Lighting Project
Purpose of Item:
The nature of this item is to purchase outdoor lighting equipment, which includes light poles, head
fixtures, and other various lighting supplies to replace and update the existing lighting structures for
the Bayfront Park Management Trust, from Rexel, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $118,014.88;
allocating funds from the 2007-08 Bayfront Park Management Trust Capital Improvement Budget.
Background Information:
The Bayfront Park Management Trust has identifed a need for replacing and updating its outdoor
lighting fixtures and appurtenances. On November 21, 2007, the Purchasing Department issued
Invitation for Bids No. 70032. As required by the Procurement Code, the IFB was advertised and
issued on-line. Bids were due and two (2) bids were received on December 10, 2007. Rexel, Inc. has
been deemed the lowest responsive and responsible bidder with a bid amount of $118,014.88 and
therefore recommended for award. On December 13, 2007, the Bayfront Park Management Trust
approved same recommendation and enacted Resolution No, 07-034.
