JUSTIFICATION:
A Resolution establishing a new special revenue fund entitled "Buffer Zone Protection Program
Grant" authorizing the City Manager to accept said grant from the State of Florida Department
of Law Enforcement.
HOW IS THIS ITEM GOING TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF SERVICE TO THE
CUSTOMER / CITIZENS?
The Buffer Zone protection Grant will provide funding for equipment to be used to protect, secure,
and reduce the vulnerability of the Network Access Point (NAP) of the Americas located in
Downtown Miami. This site has been identified as critical infrastructure, and a key resource
location that meets the criteria for support under Florida's Homeland Security Strategy.
