In an effort to contain rising overtime cost, the Miami -Dade County Association of Chiefs of Police, along with the State Attorney's Office, instituted the "County Court Standby Program." HOW IS THIS ITEM GOING TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF SERVICE TO THE CUSTOMER / CITIZENS? The County Court Standby Program has dramatically reduced court overtime costs for all law enforcement agencies. Since the program's implementation in 1997, our department has reduced overtime costs by 57%, from $2,077,958 (FY '97) to $882,488 (FY '06-07). IS THIS A REPLACEMENT ITEM? YES ❑ NO ® (If yes, why?)
