HomeMy WebLinkAboutIntroductionOFF BRICKELL A. INTRODUCTION. Off Brickell is a mixed -use development proposed for a parcel of land containing 3.016 acres of land or 131,366 square feet. It is located on S.W. 1st Avenue, between S.W. 13th Street (Coral Way) and S.W. 15th Road. It will consist of (i) a 10-story building which will contain 213 hotel units; (ii) a 9-story building containing 133,733 square feet of Class A office space; (iii) 101,043 square feet of retail, including 4,685 square feet of restaurant; and (iv) a 6-story parking garage (with an additional underground parking level) that will provide a total of 414 parking spaces attractively crowned with a recreational deck on the top floor, which will include a pool, whirlpool, sun shading and other amenities. The hotel tower will front S.W. 15th Road allowing the hotel guests to overlook beautiful Simpson Park. The Class A office tower will front S.W. tst Avenue and provide tropical landscaping, benches, lighting and outdoor dining. A parking garage situated between the towers will include 414 parking spaces, and a service area for the needs of both buildings, the entrance of which is located on the west -side of the project. Retail and restaurant uses will wrap around the majority of the project and will be located on the first two floors of the office tower and parking garage, as well as portions of the hotel tower, bringing life to the project by day and by night. The vision and ultimate goal for this project is to create an urban center within the larger Brickell community. By combining hotel units, Class A office space, retail and dining, Off Brickell will provide its guests and tenants a place to work, stay, and shop, while also providing City residents a gathering place to shop and dine.
