THOMPSON AS CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, TO HOLD OFFICE AS PROVIDED FOR IN THE CITY CHARTER; APPROVING THE SALARY AND BENEFITS TO BE RECEIVED BY CITY CLERK PRISCILLA A. THOMPSON. WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 4 of the Charter of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, the City Commission elects a City Clerk; and WHEREAS, on March 7, 2002, pursuant to Resolution No. 02-209, Priscilla A. Thompson was elected and appointed as City Clerk of the City of Miami; and WHEREAS, on November 13, 2003, pursuant to Resolution No. 03-1152, Priscilla A. Thompson was elected and reappointed as City Clerk; and WHEREAS, on January 12, 2006, pursuant to Resolution No. 06-0022, Priscilla A. Thompson was elected and reappointed as City Clerk; and WHEREAS, Priscilla A. Thompson has performed her duties as City Clerk in an exemplary and professional manner; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CONIMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. Priscilla A. Thompson is elected and reappointed as City Clerk of the City of Miami, Florida, to serve until the first City Commission meeting following the next general municipal or run-off election(s). Section 3. The salary and benefits to be received by Priscilla A. Thompson as City Clerk, listed on "Attachment No. 1," attached and incorporated, are set forth, are approved. As compensation, Priscilla A. Thompson shall receive the annual sum as set forth in "Attachment No. 1," and shall receive the same cost of living increase, if any, available on an annual basis to all eligible City of Miami employees. Section 4. FERNANDEZ CITY ATTORNEY Footnotes: {1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted.
