Purpose of Item: The Administration recommends that the Miami City Commission adopt the attached Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a Grant of Easement, in substantially the attached form, to Florida Power & Light Company, a Florida Corporation, ("FPL"), of an approximately 10 foot perpetual, non-exclusive easement on City -owned property located at 1550 NW 37 Avenue, Miami, Florida, as more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, for the construction, operation and maintenance of electric facilities, with the right to reconstruct, improve, change and remove all or any of the facilities within the easement. Director Chiefr�'1 City Manager Page 1 of 2 SUPPLEMENTAL SHEET Subject: Granting of an approximately 10 foot Easement to Florida Power & Light located at 1550 NW 37 Avenue, Miami, Florida, (also known as Grapeland Park). Background Information: Florida Power & Light Company has requested an approximately 10 foot perpetual, non-exclusive easement on City -owned property located at 1550 NW 37 Avenue, Miami, Florida. This easement will be used to construct, operate and maintain overhead and underground electric utility facilities to service exclusively City -owned property (including wires, poles, guys, cables, conduits and appurtenant equipment) to be installed from time to time; with the right to reconstruct, improve, add to, enlarge, change the voltage, as well as, the size of and remove such facilities or any of them within the Easement, with full right of ingress thereto and egress therefrom.
