RE: Resolution transferring $52,250.61 to NANA from The Black Economic
Development Coalition Inc./Tools For Change
Dear Mr. Mirabile:
We like to thank you for your support at September 11, 2007, Commission meeting for
the Micro -Enterprise program.
As you know we are funded by Community Development to provide technical assistance
to Micro -Enterprise / small businesses. On January 18, 2007, NANA acquired Black
Economic Development Coalition Inc./Tools For Change. The City Commissioners
passed a resolution #SP1 transferring $52,250.61 previously slated to the organization
because we took over their responsibility.
We are requesting that the $52,250.61 be added to our FY 2007-2008 contract which will
allow us the appropriate time to execute the contract and access the funding. Also, we
feel that acquiring the organization was a positive step for the community which retained
2 full time jobs and allowed us to continue working on open client files.
We are sure you would agree there is no way we will be able to spend the funding before
September 30, 2007.
Again, we thank each of you for you support, if you have any questions, please contact
me at (305) 756-0605.
Sincerely,
Leroy Jones
