Motion to approve contract providing the following amendments be made to the agreement:
• Subject to City's Zoning Department approval.
• Subject to City Attorney approval.
• Subject to AD Systems agreeing to provide BPMT staff with the proper
equipment and training for the ability to program the sign.

Miami Heat Victory Parade
Commissioner Sanchez requested taking the meeting out of order to take care of the approval
of the ratification of expenses incurred by Bayfront Park for the Miami Heat Victory Parade.
A handout which delineated all expenses in an amount not to exceed $5,610.08, was
distributed to the Trust.

4. Bicentennial Park Et Deep Water Slip
Tim Schmand informed the board of the City's request to have the Trust manage the Deep
Water Slip at Bicentennial Park in the same manner in which the Trust manages Bicentennial
Park. Mr. Schmand also mentioned that once the City determines the new boundaries to the
Deep Water Slip, documentation would be provided to staff, from which legislation would be
created. Board approval at a subsequent meeting, and City Commission approval would
complete the process.
Discussion ensued pertaining to the deep water stip and Bicentennial Park.
5. Sahaja Yoga Meditation Classes
Tim Schmand stated he reviewed the proposal by Sahaja Yoga Meditation to present free
mediation classes in Bayfront Park.
Discussion ensued.
No action taken.
V. DIRECTOR'S REPORT
1. Bicentennial Park

A motion was made approving a non-profit community event grant, based on the
Trust's grant guidelines, providing that an amount of $4,000.00, from the total of the
grant, be issued to a non-profit organization of choice by the Miami International Boat
Parade organization.

6. Executive Director Evaluation Committee, Lawrence Terry
Lawrence Terry updated the Trust on the committee's conclusion and recommended a
motion approving a salary increase for the Executive Director in a yearly amount not
to exceed $106,000.00.

7. Marquee Sign Procurement Evaluation Committee, Michael Barket
Steven Alexander recused himself from the discussion.
Mr. Barket stated the committee recommended AD Systems, Inc., as the first ranked
firm, with the stipulation that should negotiations fail with the first ranked firm, the
Trust negotiate with the second ranked firm, Dade Media, Inc.

8. Mutiny, Pirates Adventure event
Tim Schmand stated that staff had been approached by a performance group and
organizers of a Pirate Adventure event, interested in hosting their event at
Bicentennial Park. Mr. Schmand stated that if said event should take place, staff
would obtain a use agreement and a guarantee against ticket sales.
9. New Year's Eve update
Tim Schmand updated the Trust on the 2005 New Year's Eve event. Mr. Schmand
outlined the talent and advised the Trust that the projected cost for the event was
$126,000.00, with an approved amount of $100,000.00, coming from the Trust.
III. DIRECTOR'S REPORT
1. Bicentennial Park
a) General update, Bob Weinreb
2. 2005 Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony reminder
Tim Schmand stated that the Tree Lighting Ceremony would take place on November
25, 2005.
3. Tethered Balloon Update
Tim Schmand stated that the installation should commence immediately after the
NFAA event in January 2006.
